Bile ducts carry the digestive liquid from your liver to your small intestine. In sclerosing cholangitis, inflammation causes scars within the bile ducts, gradually causing serious liver damage. Our guest is Jenna Ziegler a blogger at The Comical Colon
Jenna Ziegler is a writer, storyteller, and patient advocate. Jenna lives with three invisible illnesses—ulcerative colitis, primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC), and enteropathic arthritis—and shares her medical journey on her blog, The Comical Colon. She writes about her chronic illnesses with a positive, welcoming spin to inspire others to step out of their comfort zones and share their own health stories. Jenna wholeheartedly believes in the emotional healing that expressive writing and a supportive community can bring, so she strives to fill The Comical Colon community with resources, support, and sensible chuckles.
Jenna was born and raised in California, but now lives in Tennessee with her husband and their rescue cat, Newbert. At any given moment, you can find her furiously writing in a notebook from her arguably excessive journal collection, reading, or sitting outside soaking up the sun.
You can learn more about Jenna’s medical journey and advocacy work by visiting The Comical Colon blog, Instagram, or Facebook pages.
